INVESTech 2026 — Διαγωνισμός Δεξιοτήτων Μηχανικής Λογισμικού (Κύπρος)

INVESTech 2026 is a multi-stage software engineering skills competition run in Cyprus by Frederick University as part of the European INVESTech project, which spans five nations. It bridges academic study and real industry needs, with Cypriot student teams supported by industry mentors. Updated schedule confirmed by the organisers:

• March – September 2026 — project development and online mentorship
• 15–17 June 2026 — 3-day intensive hackathon
• 19 June 2026 — semi-final Pitching Day
• 22–24 September 2026 — finals with complete MVPs, now confirmed as a three-day stage (previously listed as a single day, 23 September)
• March 2027 — the top 2 Cyprus teams travel to Lithuania for the EU-level competition

The finals take place at Frederick University Limassol, 18 Mariou Agathangelou, Limassol 3080, and include international teams. The challenge asks students to build software that bridges social gaps — empowering the elderly, people with disabilities and marginalised communities. Technology professionals, engineers and companies can take part as mentors, judges, speakers or sponsors. Cyprus partners include Frederick University, CYRIC, Emphasys Centre and the Center for Social Innovation, with promotion by the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB).
