Open Cybersecurity Consultation Day 2026

Fourteen cybersecurity companies will sit in one building for five hours and give small businesses half an hour each, for free. The Open Cybersecurity Consultation Day runs on Friday 30 October 2026, 09:00–14:00, at the ICT Academy of the Office of the Commissioner of Communications – Digital Security Authority, 1 Andrea Chaliou Street, 2408 Engomi, Nicosia. The mechanics, because they are unusual. This is not a conference with a stage. Fourteen members of the NCC-CY Cybersecurity Community are present as consultants, and a registered business books 30-minute one-to-one meetings with the ones it wants. The booking flow is explicit: create an account on Eventora, confirm by email, then browse the consultant profiles and request slots at times that suit you. Participation is free, and registration is still open at the time of writing. Who it is for. Small and medium-sized enterprises — the segment that has NIS2-shaped obligations arriving, no security team, and no budget for a scoping engagement just to find out what it does not know. The organisers' framing is straightforward: discuss your needs, get recommendations, meet local professionals. Who is behind it. The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre of Cyprus (NCC-CY), which sits inside the Digital Security Authority, with support from the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE). The two business federations being on it matters — this is being pushed through the channels Cypriot SMEs actually read. Why a hackathon calendar is carrying a consultation clinic. Two reasons.
