5ο Youth Tech Fest Cyprus 2027

The timetable is out, and it is a fuller day than the original announcement suggested. The 5th Youth Tech Fest Cyprus runs on Saturday 6 February 2027 at The Warehouse by IT Quarter, Limassol. Entry is free. Registration for the competitions is open now. The published programme — eight strands, with hours.

• 09:00–18:00 — Edutainment Fair. Interactive zones across robotics, science, XR/VR, gaming, sports and art, with workshops and hands-on activities.
• 09:00–18:00 — Roblox Games Hack. The festival's flagship build competition: design and ship your own game in a day.
• 09:00–17:00 — STEM Racing. Formula 1 in Schools plus a 4x4 off-road challenge.
• 09:00–17:00 — Chess Festival. Grandmaster simuls, puzzles, masterclasses and blindfold demonstrations.
• 09:00–15:00 — Cubing Competition. Unofficial, run with experimental handicap rules.
• 10:00–12:30 — Youth Unicorn StartUp Contest. A Dragon's Den-style pitch session billed as "Halloumi & Hustle".
• 12:10–15:00 — Rising Rhythms Festival. Music and dance competition, ages 10–19.
• 14:30–16:20 — Future Voices Stage. Model UN-format debates on education and AI.

What has changed since this was first listed. Two strands are new to the programme — the Rising Rhythms Festival and the Future Voices Stage — and the Roblox competition now has firm entry rules: ages 10+, in teams of one or two, via a Google Form linked from the festival's Roblox page. The earlier announcement put the age floor at 9 and gave no team size, so anyone who read the first version should check the bracket before entering a child on the old assumption. Why the Roblox strand is the part worth taking seriously. It is the only competition on this island aimed squarely at ten-year-olds who want to ship a game, and it sits in a country that StartupBlink now ranks 16th in the world for gaming startups — the one line in Cyprus' index that no tax rate explains. Ten-plus Cyprus studios exhibited at Comic Con under a single banner this month with gamescom 2027 applications next. The pipeline into that cluster starts at events like this one, nine hours in a seaside warehouse, and it is free. Who runs it. Exec Club Cyprus (Alstrad International Ltd), founded by Sean Alimov. February is the island's busiest youth-tech fortnight: the fest has held the early-February Limassol slot for five editions running, and the CERES Cyprus Hackathon ran the same weekend in 2026. Prize details for the Roblox Games Hack were not published at the time of this update, and the festival's own pages give the age floor as 10+ while earlier coverage said 9+ — treat 10+ as current and confirm on the registration form.
