Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2026 — "AI Wars"
One day, 40+ speakers, and a title that is not trying to be subtle: "AI Wars — Challenging the Balance of Power". The Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2026 runs on Wednesday 14 October 2026 at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, Mouseiou 6, Nicosia 1097. It is the island's main cross-sector technology-policy conference, and this year the framing is geopolitical rather than product-led: who holds leverage when AI capability becomes a national asset.
The shape of the day.
- 08:00–09:00 — registration
- 09:00–18:00 — main programme
- 18:00–23:50 — the Night Summit, a separate evening track with its own running order
What the programme covers. The announced threads are
"Industrial Intelligence", AI dominance and sovereignty, innovation inside government, investment strategy, early-stage startups, and the luxury and creative industries. The speaker list is deliberately mixed — politics, industry and academia, international and local — rather than engineering-only.
Named so far. Nina Schick, sovereign-AI strategist and one of the earlier public voices on synthetic media and AGI geopolitics, is the headline international speaker. The organising committee is chaired by
Kyriacos Kokkinos — former IBM executive and former Cyprus Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy — which is a reasonable signal of who will be in the room from the government side.
Tickets — and the part worth knowing. This is a
paid conference:
Early Bird from €70, with discounted rates for
corporate teams of five.
Students go free. If you are a student on the island, this is the single cheapest way all autumn to be in a room with the people who write Cyprus' digital policy — take it.
Why it is on this calendar. It is not a build event and nobody ships anything on 14 October. But it sits two weeks before the hackathon season proper —
SkillsCyprus (29–31 October),
DevFest Cyprus (31 October) — and five weeks before
BoC Fintech Hackathon 7.0 (27–29 November). The summit is where the policy and procurement side of the ecosystem states its priorities for the year; the hackathon briefs tend to rhyme with whatever gets said here. Read it as the agenda-setting event rather than the fun one.
Confirm the final programme and current ticket tier on agenda.cy before booking — the speaker list has been filling in through September and October.
