The 2nd Cyprus Open Data Hackathon took place on September 15-16, 2018, at ARIS | A Really Inspiring Space in Limassol, Cyprus. Organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of Deloitte and the Public Administration and Personnel Department (PAPD) of the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with Hack Cyprus, the event aimed to encourage the reuse of public sector information made available as open data through the data.gov.cy portal.

Prizes

First Prize: €3,000.Second Prize: €1,500.Third Prize: €1,000.Smart Cities Challenge Prize: Sponsored by the Municipality of Ypsonas.

Rules

Development of applications using open data to address challenges in sectors like tourism, services, and social issues, Teams of up to 5 members; individual participation allowed.Use of any programming language or technology. Participants could bring ideas and code developed prior to the event.
