A quick deadline reminder for anyone sitting on a prototype: the Research and Innovation Foundation's PRE-SEED call (PRE-SEED/0526) closes on 11 September 2026 at 13:00.

What is on offer

• Total budget: €1,000,000
• Maximum per project: €119,999
• Submissions: IRIS portal

Who it is for

The programme - "Creation and Initial Development of Startups with International Orientation" - backs startups that are still developing their business idea, or at an early stage of building their product or service, with an eye on global markets. In other words: exactly the stage most hackathon winners are at a few months after the trophy photo.
