Free and open to all: UCY opens a public AI lecture series on 15 September

The University of Cyprus and its Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences are launching a series of public lectures and open discussions on artificial intelligence, and the opening night is free and open to anyone.

Details

  • Topic: "Artificial Intelligence Today and Tomorrow - Risk or Opportunity, Ally or Enemy"
  • When: Tuesday 15 September 2026, 18:00-20:00
  • Where: Ceremonies Hall, Kallipoleos 75, University of Cyprus, Nicosia
  • Cost: free, registration through the university's form

The series is meant to open up the technological, social, economic and ethical sides of AI to a general audience, and marks 30 years of graduations from the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences.

Worth an evening if you build with AI and rarely get to argue about it outside your own team.
