INVESTech 2026 finals confirmed for 22-24 September at Frederick University Limassol

The final stage of INVESTech 2026, the software engineering skills competition run in Cyprus by Frederick University, has been confirmed for 22-24 September 2026 at Frederick University Limassol, 18 Mariou Agathangelou, Limassol 3080.

Earlier announcements listed the final skills competition as a single day on 23 September. The organisers' event site now sets out a three-day final, with international teams joining the Cypriot finalists to present complete MVPs for evaluation and awards.

The competition began with a three-day intensive hackathon on 15-17 June 2026, followed by a semi-final Pitching Day on 19 June. Teams that advanced have spent the summer in a development and online mentorship track running from March through September.

The brief asks software engineering students to build software that bridges social gaps - empowering the elderly, people with disabilities and marginalised communities. The top two Cyprus teams will go on to the EU-level competition in Lithuania in March 2027.

INVESTech is a European project spanning five countries. Cyprus partners include Frederick University, CYRIC, Emphasys Centre and the Center for Social Innovation, with promotion support from the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB). Technology professionals, engineers and companies can still take part as mentors, judges, speakers or sponsors. Participation is free and the working language is English.
